ना हो कर भी तुम मौजूद हो यहाँ, सुन सकते हो जो मैंने मनन में कहा, किसी और की परछाई में भी जब तुम दिखो, कुछ और नहीं ये मेरा भ्रम ही तो है । ये मेरा भ्रम ही तो है जो मैं आज भी, रातों में रहती हूँ जागती, कहती रहती हूँ जो तब ना कहा, सुनती हूँ तुमको मैं आज भी । इस दुनिया में अब तुम्हारा निशान ना कोई, अपनी यादों को मैं भूलती गयी, मिटा कर सारे निशां दुखों के, तुम्हे भूल जाना मेरा भ्रम ही तो है । इस दिन से हर साल मैं भागती, ना आये तू याद ये दुआ मांगती, ना आएगा याद तू, ये सोचना, ये सोचना मेरा भ्रम ही तो है ।

In the land of Dreams

I am a Prince who never has to think. Whatever I want comes within a blink. I eat all I can and I am always full. I have all the toys that are so beautiful. While playing all day long if I feel hungry. I can eat the chocolate leaves off a chocolate tree. The sweet smelling flowers are made of candy. And the white sugary rivers flow milk it seems. I could have all these in my land of Dreams. My big palace gives shelter from the sun. And my clothes are made of silk, the best ever spun. None sleep hungry in the kingdom that I rule. When I am cold during winter, I wear clothes made of wool. With snow I make ice-creams as winters are so cool. And some trees bear fruits of toffee and cream roll. The land of happiness and fun is the one that I own. As you hear about this, I know your face beams. But I truly have all this in my land of Dreams. I don’t mind the scorching sun that burns my face. This pavement turns into a palace when night wins...
